Hon. Mamerto Bermil Jr. delivers an inspiring speech, expressing his unwavering support for the SDO Canlaon delegation as they prepare for the upcoming CVIRAA Meet 2024 during the Welcome Dinner held at the Reception Hall in Don Vicente Rama Memorial Elementary School on May 03, 2024.
Surprised at the spontaneous call for him to deliver a message in front of the delegation, Hon. Bermil carried out a very heartwarming message that articulates how the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Canlaon City fosters the importance of sports in today’s generation. As an expression of support from the city government, other city officials are expected to be visiting the billeting quarters and will be attending the opening program, including the City Mayor Hon. Jose Chubasco B. Cardenas on May 4, 2024.
He also feels a sense of pride, that despite Canlaon being a relatively small city, the students, the consistent support from the Schools Division Office and the Local Government Unit, have impressively secured a spot at this prestigious event and demonstrated their ability to independently and elegantly represent the city, proving that size is no obstacle to excellence.
“Dili man tingali nato makab-ot pero naningkamot ang tanang athlete, maningkamot ta nga makadala ta og dungog og pangalan sa atoang syudad sa Canlaon,” states Hon. Bermil with a beaming smile, he confidently assures the student athletes that their tireless efforts and unwavering dedication will certainly not be in vain and proudly declares that each and every one of their remarkable accomplishments will be fully honored and celebrated, as they have more than earned the right to represent their city with distinction.
